Who is Daniel Walker & What I'm Reading Next

WHO IS DANIEL WALKER????

Hello my readers!!!

While helping a friend fill out a dating profile today (laughs) it gave me a really funny idea and I decided to just roll with it.  What if one of the characters went to a dating service?   Naturally I chose Dan because he seemed like the kind of guy that would rather date online or in private rather than it being everyone’s business.  I decided to help Dan fill out his own dating profile, so we could all learn a little more about him.  (I pulled twenty or so questions off of a real dating questionnaire.  Some of them I was like…no way.  But yes they are real.)

~~Night XOXO

CITY SINGLES DATING SERVICE

Name: Daniel Walker

Nicknames: Dan, D

Gender: Male

Preference: Men

Age: 23

Birthday: September 28

Sign: Libra

Education (You may include details if you wish. Optional): Bennett County Community College Graduate/ Bachelors in English with a minor in Photography

Career (You may include details if you wish. Optional): Travel Guide Author and Fact Checker

Would you ever consider relocating for your partner?:  No.

Do you consider yourself a family oriented person?: I love my family and they are very important to me.  So yes.

Do you have children?:  No.

Would you date someone with children?:  Depends on the situation I guess.  I’ve never dated a man with children before.

Do you want children one day?: No.

Are you a home owner? (If so you may provide detail. Optional): Yes, I own a two bedroom cottage in Bennett County.

Do you have a roommate?: No.

Do you think if you found the right partner you would consider sharing a home together?:  I hope he’ll want to live with me.  I mean that’s how it goes right?

Are you a city person? Or do you prefer country living?: I like where I live because it’s busy part of the year and then dimly populated for about six months because of the end of tourist season.  It’s small town life but I do enjoy the city from time to time for work.  So I guess I would say both.  But I don’t think I would ever live in the city.

What are the three most important traits you are looking for in a man?: Smarts, Honesty, and Patience.

Are looks important to you when seeking out a potential partner?: To a point.  I just care that they’re taking care of themselves, are hygienic, and have hair. (I’m not into baldies, sorry.)

Detail for us what you believe is your “type”: I like tall, muscled guys with long hair.  But who the hell doesn’t? I have a thing for guys who are mouthy but intelligent.  I think that’s why I always tend to go for the “book worms”.  But they aren’t my ideal body type.  I like someone who is bigger than me and makes me feel protected.  I guess that’s what it is but it could just be because I like all those muscles.  I like a sharp dresser. Someone who isn’t over the top and their dress seems more like they just threw it on and it just happened to look that good.  I like a guy with a deep voice and someone who is a good singer.  Oh and they have to have good taste in music! I’m a huge music person.

Do you have a preference with ethnicity or race?:  Nope.  If the shoe fits, I’ll wear it.

Are you strictly a monogamous person or do are you into open relationships?: STRICTLY monogamous.  Why exactly am I at dating service if I want my future partner to be out banging other guys?  You should get rid of this question.

Do you have any fetishes that are part of your daily lifestyle? (If so, please detail.  Optional): Really?  This is what I’m paying for?  Fetishes?  No.  I don’t. Unless eating, sleeping, and breathing qualify, then I’m fetish free.

Do you have any pets?: You go from fetishes to pets?  This is getting weird and no I don’t have any pets.

Would you mind dating someone that did have pets?: No.  Unless they had some type of zoo animal collection in the backyard, you know like tigers and illegal lions and such.  I don’t do any of that.

Are you a religious person?: Only in bed.

Would you date someone with a different religion than yourself?: We’re all the same religion in bed.  It doesn’t really matter outside of that.

Do you drink?: Yes.

Do you smoke?: No.

Would you date someone that drank and smoked?: Yes on the drinking, no on the smoking.  Unless maybe it was just a social thing.  I have friends that do that and it doesn’t bother me.

What are your hobbies?: Reading, writing, taking candid pictures, and dancing around my house.

What are some things that you dislike in a partner?:  Silence in bed, chewing with your mouth open, men that have a sweatshirt for every occasion,  watching too much sports, not making time to connect with each other, a man who doesn’t like to get out, not caring for your family, bad breath, men without rhythm, men who act like they know everything, men who hate wine because they think drinking beer makes them more manly, men that think they get some on a first date because we’re both gay (no hoes here), men that burn candles that smell like wood (there’s nothing sexy about the scent of two by four), men who wear sequins, glitter, or rhinestones (there is only one Elton John),and men who sleep with stuffed animals.

Thank you for taking the time to fill out the Stage 1 Dating Profile Questionnaire.  We will process this information into our database and let you know as soon as we have a match for you!  While you wait, please fill out your Stage 2 information so that we may provide you with a more advanced match in the future.  Thank you for using City Singles and have a wonderful day.

What I’m Reading Next!
As I just finished the latest installment of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward titled Lover Reborn, I had to give myself a break from reading for a few days as that book was intense and left me feeling unsure of the next book to come.
After two days, I was starting to feel deprived and turned on my Nook to see what the next title was and man am I excited!  I’ve read a few titles now by Tara Lain and I absolutely love her work.  Spell Cat is her latest release and also a male/male paranormal tale.  Kind of rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it? Lol.
Spell Cat (Description and Cover Art courtesy of TaraLain.com)

When Killian Barth, history professor, meets Blaine Genneau, quantum physicist, they ignite their own big bang. But sadly, Killian walks away because he doesn’t do physics professors. In fact, he doesn’t do humans, because Killian is the most powerful male witch in 10 generations and, though gay, he’s expected to save his declining race by reproducing. Sex with humans depletes his power he’s been taught. Then why can young human, Jimmy Janx, dissolve spoons with a thought? Somebody’s a lying witch. With his powerful cat familiar, Aloysius, on his shoulder, Killian brings the lightning against deceit and greed to save Blaine from danger and prove love is the greatest power of them all.
Sounds awesome right? And that cover...Oh God.  Love it. I’m pretty excited to dive into this one and as most of my readers enjoy a good m/m paranormal story, I figured I would share the link.  I’ll be done with it in by next week and I’ll probably do a quick review on it for everyone.  If you’re interested in purchasing it for yourself, I’ve included all the links.

  11. I do consider all the concepts you've offered for your post. They're really convincing and can definitely work.
Still, the posts are too brief for newbies.
Could you please prolong them a bit from next time?

    Thanks for the post.
