Happy Saturday everyone! So, I have a little proposition for you all. What do you guys think about starting a book club? Once a month you guys could suggest a M/M book for all of us to read, and at the end of the month we could have a discussion/review on the blog. This would help to promote other authors and also help all of us discover new books to enjoy. This is just a suggestion, but I think it would be a lot of fun. Let me know what you think, and if you have book titles you're interested in reading, post in the comments section below. For the book titles being considered, visit the sidebar for more information. Also, please participate in the poll to choose a book for February! Thanks everyone and have a wonderful day.
Oh and P.S., I created a blog schedule for the end of January. You can find the link to the right in the tabs section.
XOXO NIGHT TEMPEST
Awesome idea! Having everyone's thoughts on one page would be wonderful. Much easier than reading everyone's individual Goodreads or blogs. I read slowly, though, so no epics. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea. I have read so many great books at ARE over the past few months. I would love some new leads as well.
ReplyDeleteI am thoroughly enjoying RJ Scot's Sanctuary series right now.
I think this would be really great. Maybe you could take like 3 suggestions, run a quickie poll and then go from there. Not sure how much work is involved with that but it might be fun. I am all for new author support though. Good plan.
ReplyDeleteI think its a great idea.
ReplyDeleteWOuld definitely participate.
:)

I love that idea. This has become my little m/m hideaway since no one else reads this with me. I'm definitely in.
ReplyDeleteawesome idea. I would definitely participate.
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea. I can't participate because I have no way to get my hands on the books I'd need to read, but I wouldn't mind making a suggestion for a book. In fact, I just recently read Secret Chemistry by Chris T. Kat, and I think it would be a good book to discuss. Also, definitely anything by M.A. Church.

Love the idea. My kindle is full of m/m romance novels, I also follow you on goodreads. Right now I am in love the "Lucky Moon" series by Piper Vaughn and M.J. O'shea. Such a good series about these guys in rock n roll groups who do a collaboration and they all start falling for each other... but not without bumps in the road before their HEA's. There are 3 books in the series. Check em out.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Night. I would love to participate.

I would probably suggest expanding it to maybe online books and free stories! Not all can afford to buy the books (gay themed books tend to be a bit expensive in hard copy and even online at times, the affect of not being popular)
ReplyDeleteAlso, (like myself, well actually I can, but trying to save up for a house is hard! I cut all expenses where I can, and as a Diva and southern belle ;) I just cant live ANYWHERE! lol) So maybe looking into completed series or complete half series Like the ones by RobCub32 {always under Robcub no matter where he post}, he has great some really great reads like "The Degan Incedent" and "Timber pack Chonicals", more real to life but still fluffy and not everyone in the story has a perfect body. As much as we would like to have a perfect body, get over it and embrace yourself and others! And there stories... if we need perfect bodies we can come to your vamp series or others! just my 500 cents... LOL
Hi Deroi. I guess I wasn't clear on a few things. All of the titles I've suggested come in both hardcover and ebook. I would never ask you to purchase a $14+ book for the sake of a book club. I love Robcub and have followed his stuff for a long time. I might throw out some free story links as well. That's the point of this post... to help readers find new authors they've never been exposed to. As for the perfect bodies... I'm going to log that under compliment. Thanks Deroi. ♥
DeleteAll for it! Reading the Adrien English series right now. Not sci-fi, not paranormal, not necessarily true romance (think good ole-fashioned mystery), but it IS great gay fiction from Josh Lanyon with some hotttttt sex scenes. I also like Andrew Grey and Ben Monopoli...more along the "romance" lines. Would love to learn about more *quality* writers (such as yourself, Night) in the M/M paranormal romance genre, though!
ReplyDeleteI'm in. Book club sounds awsome. I am always up for being exposed to new authors.....well not exposed per se; I'm always up for being introduced to new authors, lol.
ReplyDeleteSo love this idea! I read, like whoa...15 to 20 books a month and I'm always looking for great new titles and authors. I just finished Aria the third book in the Blue Notes series by Shira Anthony. Also in love with the Seattle Stories by Con Riley.
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me, I'm in Night! (Like I need any reason to read more books lol ;)
ReplyDeleteI voted in the poll.

Before finding Lit Erotica(where I found you), the only gay author I ever read was E Lynn Harris. I love every ...book hes ever written( Invisible Life,Just as I am, and Abide be Me) are a few. I will put out that he is an African American and his stories reflect that as most stories on Lit and stuff does not. I also read a pretty intresting yet hardcore book called Forbidden Fruit by Will Kane, while I wouldnt suggest this for a book club it is worth checking out for those intrested..
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great idea. But I have to tell you that you are a top tier writer and I have only found one other author that iLife as much as you and that is Robcub32.
