Last time on My Telija Ch. 5......

Hazia cranked up the heat in the kitchen and got Vendish on his back in his own bed!  With Jordan sleeping next to them through the whole thing!! *gasp* What an asshole!  Or is he?  Hazia confesses his true love for Vendish who throws up a hand and says huh uh buddy, I'm in love with Jordan, no matter how sexy you and your hot ass are, I'm mated to him so hands off you home wrecker.  Hazia is broken hearted and gives a heart string tugging and tearful retreat causing Vendish to feel like the real asshole.  He realizes how much he misses Hazia's friendship but he also knows that Jordan is more important to him.

Jordan gets the sexual healing vibe in his sleep and Vendish gives it to him good.  They end up officiating their mating by combining their powers during sex and being bonded as true mates.  Did I mention they were all wet during this 'officiating process'? Hot right?  Yeah I know.  As Jordan has now been recognized as Fae because of his powers, the crew gets called off to the Elder Lands to meet the mysterious beings who started all the Fae species. 

Leading the way is Jordan's Great Aunt Orla or Tanta Orla in Fae.  The priestess has been in town for a few days on her tour of the lands and has a chance to greet Jordan in person.  Jordan is all warm and fuzzy to her and immediately likes her.  Just as he's getting into a conversation though...Blaja (the leader of the Fire Fae) makes an appearance with her smoking hot twin sons Dim and Lit.  Like a complete fangirl, Lucy goes gaga and runs off with the two of them.  Holy cow! Twins? Lu really? Oh yes she does. And honestly, wouldn't you?

When all the excitement dies down, Vendish and Jordan start to get all hot and heavy from their fresh mating bond and run into the woods for a little off the road nookie. Letting everyone else go ahead so they don't get an eyeful.  Jordan gets one with nature and Ven's body before he starts to get a random migraine.  Ouch those hurt! Not to mention...apparently Fae don't get headaches. But is this really a migraine because last time I checked, migraines don't come with emotional boy drama.  Jordan whacks out and thinks Ven's a cheater and pushes him away.  What is wrong with him?  Why is he being all Jekyl/Hyde to his mate?

That's when Ven realizes the evil that's been popping up here and there is watching them in the woods and is trying to target Jordan.  Rain (that bitch who happens to be the Water Fae leader) magically appears from her summons to the Elder Lands and tells them Jordan is being attacked by a Skeenji and they need to alert Orla (who is there leader....haha I totally just did the 'take me to your leader'. #nerd)  Remember Skeenji are the Fae who can get into your mind and turn you into a walking puppet? Fucking crazy right? Exactly.  (*Night shudders at the image of a life size ventriloquist puppet. Hell no.*)

So the three of them like boot scoot for the temple and find out the traitor has been somewhere inside.  Then shit gets real when Jordan comes face to face with the alien like supermodels known as the Elders.  They know about the traitor and have agreed to get off their lazy asses and help Jordan out because he's like special with his shadows and what not. Then comes this awkward moment when he doesn't know what the hell is going on and then Rain is like we can teach you to use 'the force' or your dark side to fight for the greater good. 

Vendish seems to think this is normal as do the rest of the Fae and Jordan is like what the hell? Are you all crazy? But he finds has no choice but to accept his new role as a heroic crime-fighter for the Fae...or does he?  Then Poppy (Remember the wee one with necklaces from the Rahn-Ji) and her dad are out in the field and she spots...*a man* walking the tree line. 

She can feel he's bad and hides with her kitty in the grass until her dad appears because he saw the mystery dude too.  Apparently this guy is the devil or something because they both tweak and that's when poppy spots the bodies of the Fae Guards on the ground.  Oh no! *Claps hands to cheeks like Macaulay Culkin* Remember when Vendish sent the pixie guards out to find Cell and warn them about the evil that popped up at the Rahn Ji?  Yeah they never got the message...looks like we know why. So anyway Poppy's papa uses his earth power to swallow them up into the ground and get them to safety.  That's where we ended last time.

What the hell is going on with Ven's mom?  Why is she so damn quiet and what is her power for crying out loud?  Uh so like did Jordan get mind raped?  Is he going to learn to control his shadows for once and stop being a drama queen?  When will Jordan and Ven finally learn to 'get' each other and stop with all this silly misunderstanding business? Is Hazia going to be a little diva and come between them...or is their someone else now? *Brow wiggle*  Who is this Elder Frawn guy and why isn't he busting a cap in our traitor if he's the dude in charge around here? 

Who is the CLOAK? GAHHHH! It's killing me. Is it Rain? Is it...Lucy? Oh my God, is it Cell and he likes to play dress up?  And who is this dude with the sexy hair walking up in the field stinking of evil?  And where does one go when they are swallowed by the earth?  Freaky.  All this and more in the next chapter of My Telija!!!!!

An angry looking dwarf set a goblet on the table in front of me and the smell of something akin to pumpkin floated to my nose.  I leaned forward and eyed the drink skeptically.  It had been a long day…again…and I was beginning to distrust anything that seemed normal.  I laughed a little and startled the dwarf.  Yeah, what the hell was normal anymore?  The bright eyed dwarf wriggled his nose and huffed before waddling away. 

Elder Frawn sat at the table across from me, using his long elegant fingers to leaf through a book that looked miniature to his stature.  He would hum occasionally or purse his lips as he studied the text but he never actually said anything and I was beginning to get ants in my pants.  What was I doing here?  What was all that welcome to the secret society bullshit back there? Why didn’t anyone seem to think I was going crazy?  All these questions and more on next week’s episode of…duh duh duh...’As The Fae Turns’.

“Did you wish to inquire about something wee one?” Elder Frawn looked up and his sparkling black eyes locked on mine.  Eight feet of predator wrapped up in an otherworldly beauty lounged in the chair across the way—his fingers drummed on the page he had been pondering over.

He was so beautiful yet creepy that it was hard to think and look at him all at the same time. “I…I…oh I uh…”

“Hm. Very well, when you can learn to speak again, then please do so.” He turned back to the book and Rain smiled slowly next to him but kept her head down towards the book in her lap.

“Okay, your uh majesty…” I swallowed and Rain covered a laugh with her hand.

“I am no majesty or king here.  I am an Elder, yes, but I am not responsible for the decisions of your people.  Guardwin is your king and Orla your queen.  They are your majesties.” The magnificent creature swept a hand through his silken silver hair and let it pool around the legs of his chair. 

“Elder Frawn?” I tried again and he looked up.

“Yes, Jordan?” Bingo. 

“Would you mind explaining what’s going on? And where Vendish is?” I hadn’t seen the rat bastard in over two hours and I was getting really pissed off.  Out of frustration, I took a drink of the pumpkin shake in front of me and tried to keep the moan of pleasure back.  It was like nutmeg and cinnamon that cooled my mouth and finished with a fruity after taste—simply delicious. 

“He is busy at the moment.” That was all I got from the giant Fae. Rain cleared her throat and nodded at my cup.

“Rekwana melon.  Only the Fire Fae can grow them because of the heat required to keep the soil at just the right temperature.  I take it from that silly smile that you like it?” Rain closed her book and put it on the table.  She stood and stretched, her tiny sigh echoed in the large library where we currently sat.  Shelves stretched into the great beyond and disappeared into the darkness in all directions around the circle of tables in the middle.  Pixies sat high up on the book cases and watched us and the Elder’s consorts along with the priests and priestesses wandered the rows in silent study. 

Above our heads was a great glowing glass ball that bathed our tables in a warm orange light.  The effect of the light and the drink relaxed me and judging by the faces of the two before me, I think that was the point.  “It’s good.” I nodded and took another sip.  No, it was fucking amazing but I didn’t want to overdo it on the enthusiasm.

“I am glad to see you at ease now.  You were near panicked back there but you seem to be regaining your senses away from the others.  Am I correct?” I nodded in response to Elder Frawn.  “This pleases me.  You are a rarity Jordan and that is not to be taken lightly.  We care for things precious to us and you are precious.  I apologize on behalf of the Fae for the ruckus of the past few days as that is not normal for any of us.  You have been through so much in such a short time and I commend you for retaining your sanity and strength through such turbulent events.  We are just not accustomed to your human upbringing and seem to be lacking in your routines and traditions.  Luciana has expressed interest in bringing us ‘up to speed’ as she so put it and we will try our best to keep your ways in mind from now on.” Elder Frawn bowed his head slightly and I looked to Rain with a raised brow.  She pursed her lips and jerked her head at the Elder for me to return the gesture.

“Thank you Elder Frawn.  That is very…kind of you.” I bowed back and he smiled as if pleased.

“Now that you are more relaxed, I think it's time to show you what you are doing here. Besides your recognition of course." He lifted a finger in exclamation. "Ah here it is Rain.  Yes, this is what we were looking for.” Elder Frawn smiled and pushed an open book across my table.  I looked down and my eyes went wide...
